Oakwood waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 69-49 margin over the Xenia Buccaneers. Given the Lumberjacks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 630th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakwood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Xenia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-14.

Coming up, Oakwood will face off against Brookville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Oakwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Brookville likes a good challenge. As for Xenia, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fairborn at 7:15 p.m.
