Basketball Game Preview: Eisenhower Eagles vs. Ontario Christian Knights

The Eisenhower Eagles just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ontario Christian Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Eisenhower saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were dealt a 68-35 defeat at the hands of Temescal Canyon.

Meanwhile, Ontario Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They wrapped up 2024 with a 58-43 win over the Cardinals.

Eisenhower better focus on containing Mason Salazar and Corey Allen as the pair were huge in Ontario Christian's win. Salazar went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points and five steals, while Allen dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Allen a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Jones, who posted 11 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Ontario Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Ontario Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Eisenhower, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
