Football Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. North Oconee Titans + How To Watch

The Eastside Eagles will face off against the North Oconee Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Eastside's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Friday, when they got past Walnut Grove's usually-dominant defense. The Eagles claimed a resounding 34-6 win over the Warriors. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Shaw, who threw for 145 yards and three TDs. Myles Mims helped Shaw out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards and one score.

Eastside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, North Oconee took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over Madison County. With the Titans ahead 28-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

North Oconee's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Eastside, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
