Recap: St. Frances Academy Panthers vs. Menchville Monarchs
The St. Frances Academy Panthers won the last time they faced the Menchville Monarchs, and things went their way on Friday too. St. Frances Academy walked away with a 53-42 victory over Menchville.
St. Frances Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dahni Suggs out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Osby, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The win got St. Frances Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Menchville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.
St. Frances Academy and Maret will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Maret is ranked 45th in District of Columbia, while St. Frances Academy is ranked 36th in Maryland).
