Volleyball Recap: David City Scouts vs. Malcolm Clippers
David City was the 2-0 winner over Malcolm when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Scouts fell just short of the Clippers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Scouts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
David City started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-23, 25-20.
Kamryn Behrns paced David City's offense, picking up 21 kills. Behrns got some help from Kambri Andel and her 15 assists. Finally, Behrns was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Allie Blair was nothing short of spectacular for Malcolm: she had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs Blair has posted over her last seven matches.
David City's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Malcolm, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
David City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Bishop Neumann on the 18th. As for Malcolm, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Milford on the 16th.
