Basketball Game Preview: Grand County Red Devils vs. Carbon Dinos

Grand County hasn't had much luck against Carbon recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Red Devils will jump right back in to play the Dinos at 10:45 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Grand County had to suffer through a 58-28 loss at the hands of North Sanpete.

Despite the defeat, Grand County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sophia Munger posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Carbon ended up a good deal behind Canyon View on Friday and lost 45-29. The loss continues a trend for the Dinos in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Carbon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Grand County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Grand County took a serious blow against Carbon in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, falling 87-23. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Red Devils were down 48-5.
