Football Recap: Palos Verdes' Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Palos Verdes had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Valencia Vikings by a score of 42-34 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Sea Kings, who have now won four contests in a row.

A big part of Palos Verdes' win came down to the chemistry between Ryan Rakowski and his top target Jalen Flowers. Rakowski threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes while Flowers picked up 68 receiving yards and three TDs. That's the most receiving yards Flowers has posted since back in September.

Valencia lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brady Bretthauer, who threw for 331 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 16.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 78 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Brian Bonner, who gained 210 total yards.

Palos Verdes' victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Valencia, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Palos Verdes has already played their next game, a 14-13 win against Dana Hills on the 14th. Valencia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
