Basketball Game Preview: Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks vs. FAU High Owls

The Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks will head out to challenge the FAU High Owls at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Sheridan Hills Christian's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so FAU High's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Sheridan Hills Christian is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Trinity Christian Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. The Sharks were the clear victors by a 40-18 margin over the Conquerors on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Sharks, who have now won three games in a row.

Sheridan Hills Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shariah Deus, who posted 15 points and five boards. Deus is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Reice Saintil was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, FAU High had to suffer through a 56-21 loss at the hands of Suncoast.

FAU High's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Sheridan Hills Christian couldn't quite finish off FAU High when the teams last played back in January and fell 29-26. Can the Sharks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
