It's playoff time, and North Hollywood had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Sylmar Spartans by a score of 42-35 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on eight straight.

North Hollywood had a senior duo take command as GAVEN ZAMORA rushed for 187 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.4 yards per carry and JOSIAH TAYLOR gained 175 total yards and two touchdowns. ZAMORA's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 119 rushing yards.

North Hollywood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 437 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 219 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests.

One reason for the win was North Hollywood's imposing defensive line, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by JULIAN MENDEZ and PAUL PENNSON, who racked up five sacks between them. North Hollywood is undefeated when PENNSON posts two or more sacks, but 2-3 otherwise. ANGEL RODRIGUEZ was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

North Hollywood's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Sylmar, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

North Hollywood has already played their next matchup, a 42-0 loss against Cleveland on the 14th. Sylmar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
