Volleyball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

Brighton was the 3-0 winner over Irondequoit when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Monday. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Brighton was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Irondequoit's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 26-24.

Irondequoit's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Leah Greco, who had seven digs and three aces.

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Irondequoit, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1-3.

Looking ahead, Brighton will be playing in front of their home fans against Churchville-Chili at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Irondequoit, they will head out on the road to take on Rush-Henrietta at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
