Wallkill is 1-7 against Kingston since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.
Wallkill managed to slip by Cornwall Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 9-1 to the Dragons on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Wallkill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Bleichner, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Kingston was not the first on the board on Monday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Goshen Central by a score of 7-3.
Kingston also got a great performance from Matt Martin as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Martin has posted since back in May of 2025.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bradyn Parise, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Max Freese was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Kingston hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.
Kingston's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wallkill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Wallkill couldn't quite finish off Kingston in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
