Football Game Preview: Hondo Valley vs. Vaughn

Hondo Valley will challenge Vaughn on the road at 3:00 PM on Friday. Hondo Valley have seen their point totals decreasing over the past three games, a vulnerability Vaughn are surely hoping to exploit.

Hondo Valley came into their this week averaging 33.8 points per game, but Hondo Valley fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They took a serious blow against Animas last Friday, falling 0-54.

Meanwhile, Vaughn came into their this week averaging 55.8 points per game, but Vaughn fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were given a punishing 6-58 defeat at the hands of Carrizozo. Vaughn's low-scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
