Volleyball Recap: Manchester Starts off Right with Win over Platt + How To Watch

Manchester gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Platt Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Red Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Manchester never let Platt on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-22.

Shaelan Gara-Grady paced Manchester's offense, picking up five kills. Gara-Grady got some help from Madi Fogarty and her seven assists. Parker Agresta controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Manchester wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Edwin O. Smith on the 8th. As for Platt, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Middletown on the 8th.
