Oldham County is a perfect 3-0 against Atherton since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Colonels will host the Ravens at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Oldham County came up short against North Oldham and fell 4-1. The Colonels have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Oldham County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Josiah McCall, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Atherton took on Clay two weeks ago. The Ravens took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson Lonnon was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, McCoy Morgan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Caleb Johnson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Oldham County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Atherton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Oldham County took their win against Atherton when the teams last played back in April of 2018 by a conclusive 13-3 score. Do the Colonels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ravens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
