Volleyball Recap: Spring Hill Comes Up Short

Spring Hill was the 3-0 winner over Community when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Vikings/Viqueens by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spring Hill actually scored more points across those five sets (104-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 17-25, 17-25, 15-12.

Hazel Slusher paced Spring Hill's offense, picking up 23 kills. Slusher got some help from Grace Kruer and her 18 assists. Kruer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Spring Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Community, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Coming up, Spring Hill will venture away from home to square off against Franklin Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Community, they will host Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
