Franklin County and Batesville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Franklin County had to settle for second. They lost 53-31 to the Batesville Bulldogs. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Franklin County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ruby Singer, who posted eight points and six boards.

Franklin County now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Batesville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Batesville, they will take on Jennings County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
