Basketball Recap: Connersville Takes a Loss

Connersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 63-44 bruising from the South Ripley Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Raiders are ranked 45th).

Defeat or not, Connersville got some senior leadership from Jadan Peterson and Judd Garrett. Peterson went 5 of 10 on his way to 18 points, while Garrett posted seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Peterson has scored all season.

Connersville's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for South Ripley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Connersville has already played their next matchup (against Centerville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Ripley will welcome Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
