Football Game Preview: Trinity Classical Academy Knights vs. Pioneer Titans + Official Tickets

The Trinity Classical Academy Knights will take on the Pioneer Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Trinity Classical Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Gabrielino by a score of 47-35. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hudson Sweitzer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 347 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Andrew Carlson was another key player, rushing for 278 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 17.4 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Trinity Classical Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 625 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Pioneer not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 48-0). They blew past Godinez Fundamental 42-21. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Pioneer's win came from a few key players Trinity Classical Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Noah Anderson, who rushed for 91 yards on only seven carries, and also threw for 159 yards and one TD on only 14 passes. Those 91 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Pioneer's leading receiver Jose Rojas was Anderson's top target yet again, picking up 102 receiving yards, while also rushing for 40 yards and one score.

Trinity Classical Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points over those games. As for Pioneer, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
