Baseball Recap: Pigeon Forge Takes a Loss

Pigeon Forge has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.33 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 11-1 to the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Pigeon Forge's loss dropped their record down to 10-6-2. As for Gatlinburg-Pittman, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Pigeon Forge will take on Grainger at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gatlinburg-Pittman will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' contest: after the Tigers faces off against the Grizzlies, they'll take on Gatlinburg-Pittman again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
