Volleyball Recap: Guymon Takes a Loss

Guymon lost against Perryton back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 3-2.

Guymon started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19, 15-11.

Guymon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Perryton, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Guymon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southwestern Heights at 4:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Perryton, they will face off against Shamrock at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
