Basketball Game Preview: New Site Royals vs. Mantachie Mustangs

New Site is 9-1 against Mantachie since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Royals will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New Site has four straight wins, Mantachie has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, it was close, but New Site sidestepped Red Bay for a 57-54 victory.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-56, which was the final score in Mantachie's tilt against Aberdeen on Tuesday.

New Site's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mantachie, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

New Site took their victory against Mantachie when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 88-63 score. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
