Softball Preview: Mountain Pointe Pride vs. Williams Field Black Hawks

The Mountain Pointe Pride will be taking part in a tournament against the Williams Field Black Hawks at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mountain Pointe will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Mesquite on Thursday. Mountain Pointe blew past Mesquite 10-2.

Samallia Perez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Perez was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2.
