Basketball Recap: Sophie Husk Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat George Washington

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Erie's strategy against George Washington on Thursday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 56-33 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Erie's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Husk, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 boards. Addison Greenlee was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points and eight rebounds.

The win got Erie back to even at 1-1. As for George Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
