Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Georgetown Prep

Georgetown Prep had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Woodberry Forest on Saturday. The Little Hoyas blew past the Tigers 12-2. The Little Hoyas' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The win (which was Georgetown Prep's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Woodberry Forest, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Georgetown Prep will take on IMG Academy in a tournament on Monday. The None's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Little Hoyas' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Woodberry Forest, they will take on Benedictine at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
