Central Noble is 2-8 against Angola since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cougars will welcome the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Central Noble turned things around against West Noble on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Chargers a 7-0 shutout. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 21st (when they won 27-4).
The result came thanks to Corbin Douglas's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Central Noble is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.
