Trinity extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Avalynn Johnson. The Bulldogs came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Central Davidson Spartans for which the team can thank Johnson, who had 48 assists and 17 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 39 times she's played.

Trinity was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Leading Trinity to victory were Katelyn Hill and Cadence Mortensen. Hill had 12 digs and four assists, while Mortensen had nine digs. Those nine digs gave Mortensen a new career-high.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Central Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Trinity will square off against Thomasville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Davidson, they will face off against Montgomery Central at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Timberwolves at the right time seeing as the Timberwolves are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
