Wendell had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 53-44 win over the Melba Mustangs on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row dating back to last season.

Wendell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Swainston led the charge by putting up 14 points and five rebounds. Swainston has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jarett Borges was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wendell will face off against Mountain Home at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Melba, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Jordan Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
