Football Recap: Polytech Takes a Loss

Polytech had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-6 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 45-7 loss at the hands of the Milford Buccaneers. The Panthers lost against the Buccaneers in their previous head to head back in November of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 7-0 score last time.

As for Milford, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-7 record. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Milford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Sivels, who rushed for 126 yards and one score on only 13 carries, and also picked up 66 receiving yards and one TD. Sivels' longest reception was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Rahlier Rankins was another key player, throwing for 201 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

As of now, neither Polytech nor Milford have any future games scheduled.
