Football Game Preview: Jersey Village Falcons vs. Cypress Falls Eagles + How To Watch

The Jersey Village Falcons will square off against the Cypress Falls Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jersey Village has given up an average of 37.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jersey Village is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Stratford on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Falcons took a blow against the Spartans, falling 47-14. The Falcons have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Cypress Falls won against Cypress Creek last Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Eagles breezed past Northbrook to the tune of 56-3. The contest marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Gabriel Wilson and Deron Simpson. Wilson rushed for 121 yards and three scores on only seven carries while Simpson rushed for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Simpson's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards.

Cypress Falls was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Cypress Falls, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of James Henderson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The victory got Cypress Falls back to even at 3-3. As for Jersey Village, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Jersey Village was dealt a bruising 56-0 loss at the hands of Cypress Falls in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Falcons, Chase Ferrell (who rushed for 86 yards and one TD, and also picked up 70 receiving yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
