Football Game Preview: Shelton Gaels vs. Sheehan Titans + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Cole StPierre and Josh Durant are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Shelton Gaels are taking a road trip to face off against the Sheehan Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sheehan took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Shelton, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Shelton turned things around against Notre Dame on Friday. They walked away with a 14-7 victory over the Green Knights. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Gaels were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Sheehan was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 14-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cheshire. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sheehan's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Shelton, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-6.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Shelton has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 154.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Sheehan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 190.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
