Softball Game Preview: Pacifica Tritons vs. San Marcos Royals

Pacifica hasn't had much luck against San Marcos recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tritons will head out on the road to square off against the Royals at 3:30 p.m. Pacifica has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pacifica lost 11-1 to Ventura on Friday.

Pacifica saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Ranck, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Oxnard hit San Marcos with a seven-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Royals came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 13-1.

Pacifica's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for San Marcos, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Pacifica couldn't quite get it done against San Marcos in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 7-3. Can the Tritons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
