Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sudan). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Morton Indians 61-21. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.

Sudan pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.8 points on average over those games. As for Morton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sudan will face off against rival Ralls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Morton is set to square off against their familiar foe Hale Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
