Volleyball Recap: Granite Hills' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After a string of ten wins, Granite Hills's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bishop's Knights by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Granite Hills started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16, 15-7.

Lathan Fry paced Granite Hills' offense, picking up 24 kills. Fry got some help from Tristan McDaniel and his 48 assists. Finally, Hunter Hamilton kept Granite Hills' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Granite Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Bishop's, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Granite Hills has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Santana on the 24th. As for Bishop's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Westview on the 24th.
