Drummond won the last time they faced Butternut and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lumberjacks came out on top against the Midgets by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lumberjacks.

Drummond had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-17, 25-21, 26-24.

Despite the loss, Butternut saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lindsey Kennedy had 26 digs and one assist.

Drummond's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Butternut, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-16.

Looking ahead, Drummond will face off against Northwood at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Butternut, they will square off against Phillips at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
