Softball Preview: Huntley Red Raiders vs. Central Rockets
Huntley is 7-0 against Central since May of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Huntley Red Raiders will be playing at home against the Central Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Huntley is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
On Monday, Huntley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Cary-Grove.
Makayla Rasumussen looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (she also didn't allow any walks).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Bonner, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with a home run and two stolen bases. Lana Hobday was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Central's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 5-2 to Prairie Ridge.
