Softball Recap: Angola's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Angola had lost four straight, but after bumping their record up to 5-15 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 15-10 win over the Adams Central Jets. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jets, too.

As for Adams Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly five runs.

For Adams Central's part, Andrea Isch was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadynn Nussbaum, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Angola will face off against Churubusco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adams Central, they will square off against Winchester Community at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.76 runs per game on average), something the Jets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
