Football Recap: Forest Grove Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 42 points the game before, Forest Grove was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were outmatched by the Canby Cougars and fell 41-7. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2021.

Miguel Quijas threw for 72 yards while completing 85.7% of his passes. On the ground, Logan Hale rushed for 33 yards and one score.

Forest Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Canby, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Forest Grove will challenge Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canby, they will square off against Ida B. Wells at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Guardians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
