Soccer Recap: Eastern Randolph Takes a Loss

Eastern Randolph lost against Jordan-Matthews back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats lost 6-2 to the Jets. While losing is never fun, Eastern Randolph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Jordan-Matthews are ranked 159th).

Danilo Perez Perilla and Joel Medina Salinas scored both of Eastern Randolph's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastern Randolph and nudges their season record down to 4-8-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-3-1 North Moore (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 65.8% over those games). As for Jordan-Matthews, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Eastern Randolph wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 loss against Northwood on the 15th. As for Jordan-Matthews, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-0 victory against North Moore on the 15th.
