Football Game Preview: Apex Friendship Patriots vs. Apex Cougars

The Apex Friendship Patriots will square off against the Apex Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Apex Friendship had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Jordan put an end to it on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Falcons, falling 28-7. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by Ethan McGarrigan, who threw for 242 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Apex fell victim to Green Hope and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 27-0 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Falcons are ranked 130th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Apex Friendship fell to 5-1. As for Apex, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
