After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Regis Jesuit, Smoky Hill was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Rangeview Raiders as they made off with a 15-1 victory. The matchup marked the Buffaloes' most dominant win of the season so far.

Ava Matheny made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Smoky Hill got a massive performance out of Kiley Snyder, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Morgan Wilson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Smoky Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. They are 4-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Smoky Hill's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Rangeview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-1 record this season.

Smoky Hill will face off against ThunderRidge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rangeview, they will challenge Northfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Nighthawks have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
