Softball Recap: Hastings Find Success

Hastings put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Bennington Badgers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Badgers: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to ELLA TINSMAN's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, BROOKLYN RUTT was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Hastings hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

Hastings' victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Bennington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
