Softball Recap: Lower Cape May Comes Up Short

Lower Cape May started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Wildwood. They came up short against the Warriors on Friday, falling 24-2. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Raegan Notch made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Lower Cape May's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Wildwood, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, Lower Cape May will square off against Our Lady of Mercy Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wildwood, they will take on Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
