Baseball Game Preview: Medical Lake Cardinals vs. Lakeside Eagles

For the second straight game, Medical Lake will face off against Lakeside. The Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Medical Lake is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Lakeside just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 11-7 to the Eagles. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 9, 2023, but that streak is no more.

For Lakeside's part, Dylan Davis looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Davis posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Clayton Pavlin was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Lakeside is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Medical Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
