Volleyball Recap: Holden Eagles vs. Richmond Spartans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lafayette County, Holden was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Richmond Spartans as the Holden Eagles made off with a 3-0 win. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.
Holden walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-9, 25-21.
Holden was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richmond only served four.
Holden's record is now 6-11. As for Richmond, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Holden has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Lutheran on the 5th. As for Richmond, they will play host again on Monday to welcome Cameron, where the match is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
