Volleyball Recap: Ella Mina's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Calhoun County over Hunter-Kinard-Tyler

Calhoun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Calhoun County couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Hunter-Kinard-Tyler a tough time in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 30-32, 25-14, 25-14.

Calhoun County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Mina, who had 25 digs and three assists.

Calhoun County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
