Susquenita is 8-2 against Line Mountain since June of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Blackhawks will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Susquenita is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Susquenita came out on top against Newport on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Blackhawks blew past the Buffaloes 13-3. The Blackhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by nine runs or more this season.
Ayahna Fleisher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Kylah Fleisher was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Esther Feltenberger was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Susquenita was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .343 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Line Mountain came out on top against Juniata on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Madylinn Grindstaff made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Grindstaff was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Line Mountain let Addy Nelson and Natalie Witmer run wild. Nelson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Witmer went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mateyah Teter, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Susquenita pushed their record up to 14-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Line Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Everything went Susquenita's way against Line Mountain in their previous matchup on April 4th, as Susquenita made off with a 15-0 victory. Do the Blackhawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
