Basketball Recap: Woodmont Comes Up Short

Woodmont was the 65-61 winner over Greenwood when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between the Woodmont Wildcats and the Greenwood Eagles didn't end well, with the Woodmont Wildcats falling 78-64. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jeremiah Brooks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greenwood, going 8 of 14 on his way to 26 points. Another player making a difference was Damarion Roman, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points and six boards.

Woodmont's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Woodmont will square off against Wren at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Wren's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Greenwood, they will face off against J.L. Mann at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.4 points per game this season.
