Baseball Recap: Peninsula Takes a Loss

Peninsula fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against West on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-3. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Peninsula saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Monzon, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Peninsula's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for West, their record now sits at an identical 6-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peninsula will take on Northview in a tournament on Monday. As for West, they will be taking part in a tournament against Costa Mesa at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
