Volleyball Game Preview: Pendleton Buckaroos vs. Marshfield Pirates

The Pendleton Buckaroos will square off against the Marshfield Pirates at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Pendleton heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They fell just short of Henley by a score of 3-2. The Buckaroos' defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.

Pendleton started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-9, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Marshfield lost 3-0 to The Dalles on Friday.

While Marshfield was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 32-30, 25-22, 25-22.

Marshfield's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Pendleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-4.
