Volleyball Recap: West Broward Wins Going Away Against Coral Springs

After losing to Coral Springs the last time they met, West Broward decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bobcats blew past the Colts 3-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

While West Broward might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Coral Springs scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.

Lukas Chiarella paced West Broward's offense, picking up 12 kills. Chiarella got some help from Max Fischman and his 32 assists. Finally, Jordan Quintanilla kept West Broward's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Coral Springs lost, don't look at Jayden Thomas. Despite the final result, he had nine digs and two assists.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 9-5. As for Coral Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, West Broward will challenge South Plantation at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coral Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Monarch on the 14th.
